Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and notes. I found your link from tripadvisor.com. I'm planning a 2 wk trip to Vietnam mid-February and I'm really excited though not exactly sure where I'm going. You see, I'm Chinese American, born in Hong Kong and have been in S.F., CA for 28 yrs (turning 30 next wk, eek!). My husband of 2 years is half Chinese/half Vietnamese and have lived in California for almost 28 yrs as well. He's never been to Vietnam and we are going with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Though they've gone to Vietnam to visit various people, I think this trip will be more touristy for our sake. I will continue my research as we haven't booked anything and the clock is ticking! Thanks again and am I lucky to have come across Marc's note at tripadvisor!!! -Kris
